I look forward to the MET Gala all year long. The clothing seen there is seriously monumental in my opinion. It sets the tone for the rest of the years fashions. With a theme like "Punk: Chaos to Couture" and an honorary chair woman like Beyonce this year was sure to be a hit.
Lets start with the Chairwoman herself. What a babe. She could have honestly gone naked and I would have put her on the best dressed list.
Minka Kelly's hair and makeup were perfection. I seriously adore her style choices.
Rooney Mara followed the punk theme in an unconditional route. The vintage look of the lace combined with the slick hair and dark makeup was a great way to interpret the theme. I loved it.
Blake Lively... The only thing that could make this pale green frock any better would be if she brought her man candy, Ryan Renolds, with her.
MY FAVORITE LOOK. SJP knows how to be chic, she honestly does not care what anyone thinks of her fashion choices. This is such a Carrie Bradshaw look. But seriously only she could pull this off and the best occasion for it, the MET Gala. I mean the headpiece is not necessarily my style but it makes the whole outfit. Cheers to SJP.

What Would Claire Wear... to go eat Sushi
My friends and I had a little girls night out for sushi. We went to a super trendy restaurant downtown. This was one of those days where I was suffering a major fashion meltdown (don't judge me, it happens to the best of us). Luckily I was able to whip up a little something, although not very special, it was classy and chic.
Top- Creme tank.
Skirt- Leather fit and flare skirt. This skirt was a major statement piece so the rest of my outfit had to be pretty minimal.
Shoes- Mega tall nude shoes, not very practical. But you never hear of practical fashions making a statement huh?
Make Up/Hair- I did pretty natural makeup and then added a pop of color to the outfit with a bold red lip. My hair (as usual) was just natural and down.

(overdue) Paris day 3, 4, 5, & 6
Due to extreme exhaustion I was unable to finish blogging about my Parisian adventure. So now I'm here to tie up any loose ends!
Day 3 was Easter Sunday! We went to mass at Notre Dame with was packed but still awesome just to say I went there. After mass we went to the Jewish quarter and went to view another church, grab lunch, and thrift shop. I snagged a wonderful pair of high waisted jean shorts that fit me like a glove! They are totally going to be one of my spring/summer staples.
Day 4. We went to Angelina and got the most divine hot chocolate! So rich for every sip I had to have like three sips of water. Then we went to the Louvre which I also loved! Museums are one of my favorite things ever. So interesting to see things that were created thousands of years ago are still so perfectly in tact and in front of you for your viewing pleasures. It's mind boggling.
On day 5 we went to Versailles. SO incredible. It's awesome to think that people used to live on estates so massive. My house is relatively small and I have plenty of room for everything I need. I would not know what to do with a house the size of my city! To see everything at Versailles it would take one at least three days in my opinion.
Day 6 was Caroline and I's day on our own. My cousin was with us for every other day. We went to a cafe for breakfast and went to a museum. Of coarse we couldn't leave Paris without something dramatic happening. Obviously the second Caroline placed her big toe inside of the museum everyone stormed out due to a fire on the second floor. So after wandering around Paris trying to figure out what to do we finally met up with my cousin and went shopping. We then ended our trip with a photo shoot in front of the Eiffel Tower.
**this was hands down the greatest experience of my life. To see how different people can be in another country all while being quite similar. I loved every second of this vacation. I had the perfect friend to spend it with and I cannot wait to return!

Paris Day 2
Today was wonderful once again! We literally all over. My feet bled. I was told to wear sensible shoes but these were the only ones that looked okay with my outfit, so obviously the only choice. They were worth it because I looked fabulous. This morning we went to the Paris Haute Couture exhibit which was probably the highlight of my fashion life. Then we went to the Shakespeare and Co. bookstore and the Luxembourg gardens. We did a few other things but those were for sure the high light! I had a great time but I really need to rest my eyes and my poor poor bloody feet.

Paris Day 1
My first day in this magical city was wonderful! Although jet lag made me drowsy, we made some serious ground. We saw the Arc de Triumph and looked at all of the designer fashions in the Galleries de Lafayette. We finished off the day by eating fresh baguettes with cheese while watching Ratatouille. Can't wait for my day tomorrow, but first I need to catch up on my rest. Au revoir!
