What Would Claire Wear... to Lunch

Hello lovebugs! At this time of year you have to go for transitional pieces. You cannot wear pieces that are too summery or too wintery. A good combo for the weather is a light blazer with shorts and sandals or possibly jeans with a flowey shirt and short ankle booties.

Top- plain white tank, simplicity is key to the base top since I am wearing a blazer with stripped details on the cuffs.Tank is from Forever 21, blazer (although not mine) is from Target

Bottoms- flowey plain bottoms. I chose my signature color, black. Shorts are from Target as well

Shoes- the sandals keep it summery and make it transitional... also Target... I am a Target shopper.

Accessories- sunglasses (obviously) and a big purse to fit all possible necessities. I chose a pastel bag. It is a fair pink that I consider  a neutral. Bag is from Urban Outfitters and sunglasses are from (where else) Target.

Goodbye Summer

Although I may not have completed everything on my summer checklist, I had a very fulfilling summer. And with my senior year of high school starting tomorrow I thought it would be a good idea to look back on the top 3 most fulfilling things I did this summer:

3. I earned over $2000
-- Growing up I never have had to work. I live a relatively privileged life although I am not spoiled. I babysat the most precious kids pretty much all summer, including going to the beach with them, and I earned a lot of money. However, truth be told I would have done it all for free because the kids are so stinking cute and it is the right things to do. But making money on my own was pretty rewarding.

2. I figured out who my real friends are
-- I have always had a very big group of friends, and I still do. I am pretty much friends with everyone but this summer I have really figured out who my life long true friends are. They were there for me literally through everything and I would do the same for them. They also still like me after seeing how strange I truly am.... which is shocking.

1. I summited a mountain
-- Considering a little over a year ago my doctors told me I was going to be paralyzed I was particularly proud of this accomplishment. While in Colorado, I woke up at 5 am to go and climb a mountain. It was 13000 ft up. We started at 10000 ft elevation however. No matter how much I bitched and complained about that hike I am seriously so proud of myself for making it to the top. It was hands down the most beautiful sight I have ever seen. & yes those are the clouds underneath me in that picture.

Hopefully this school year will be as wonderful as my summer was!
Much love

xoxo
