I know for a fact that I am not the only one who watches movies and thinks "Damn, I really really wish that was me". Well I do that all the time, probably far too often. Here are the movies that literally leave me writhing with jealousy.

•  This movie is relatively unheard of but I would highly recommend it. I love this scene because he makes her feel so special and I could (and do) cry every time I watch it. 

• Mamma Mia
• Does Your Mother Know? 
• Gosh she is such a MILF in this scene. I literally want to be just like her... so fierce/scandy. I love it. 

• Beyonce... I Am World Tour
• Concert  
• I literally want to be here throughout this whole movie... and throughout my whole life really. 

• Burlesque
• I'm a Good Girl  
• Literally my dream. The song and the costume. It's all so perfectly kinky.

What Would Claire Wear: Chilly Day Errands

It has been very chilly here in south Louisiana, so chilly that we haven't had school! Hey, it goes under 30 and they close school for a week... be my guest. Whenever the roads were safe enough to drive on I decided to run a few errands.

• Top:
• Thick blue sweater that is Kyle's with trench coat from Forever 21

• Bottom:
• Leather tights that I borrowed from a friend

• Shoes:
• Heeled black booties that I've had for a few years 

• Hair/Makeup:
• Just my natural, curly hair all messy and natural makeup using my Naked 3 palette and dark plum lips 

I had a lovely day finally going out and about*

"Snow" Day

Well, in Louisiana a "snow" day was called for last Friday. I would not have necessarily considered it snow... more like a layer of ice upon the whole land. It was the same temperature here as it was in Minnesota. So we didn't have school and I found it the PERFECT opportunity to whip out my fur Russian style hat. I also wore an extremely glamorous cape that I wish I could call myself the owner of, with black jeans and black booties. Kyle and I went around town enjoying the chill of the air and we participated in winter activities, like getting coffee and playing in the snow! It really was such an awesome day. I love love LOVE cold weather.

Beyonce Paraphernalia

With the new Beyonce album playing on a loop in my car and it being the focal point of literally all of my conversations, it is only right to dedicate a post to my queen. The perfect inspiration came out of the blue when my lovely friend Kyle showed up at school with a mysterious present for me. When I opened it up and saw this shirt it was hard for me to properly thank her considering how choked up I was. However, she knows how appreciative I am of it now. I literally cannot take it off. How to Remind Yourself that You are FABULOUS

Now, I know I am not the only one who experiences shitty days where you feel anything but glamorous. When I go through days like this I have certain little tricks that remind me that I am indeed fabulous.

• seriously, what could make someone feel any better than a vibrant lipstick? Not only do you feel like a boss but lipstick shows that you have a lot of confidence. 

• Put on some heels
• the higher the heel the better you feel!

• Nothing like an overpriced coffee to make you feel like a celebrity!

• Sleeping in sassy pajamas pretty much guarantees the next day will be a fabulous one.

What Would Claire Wear: Grown Woman

Hope you guys appreciated the Bey reference in the title of this post;]But seriously, that has to be one of my favorites from the new album. Best line? "They love the way I walk cause I walk with a vengeance, and they listen to me when I talk cause I ain't pretending" UGH SO FIERCE. I want that freaking engraved on my damn epitaph. 

Now back to the post (sorry for the awful photography, it was my father... I am not a demon I swear), If you have somewhere that you need to go professionally dressed there is no need to be a total yawn. You can make your "professional dress" very you and very chic without looking like a try hard. My tips:

Top:

• I wore a black lace top with long sheer bell sleeves. It had a high neckline so it wasn't distracting and I kept it in a very understated print.

Skirt:

• I wore a maroon skirt (although you cannot really tell in these pictures)  with a lace pattern. Yes, I did do lace on lace. It was very fitted but hit right of the knee so that's okay. 

Shoes:

• Nude. Pumps. Stick to either nude or black so events like so.

Hair/Make-up/Accessories:

• I did my hair in a very elegant low bun with hidden braids throughout. I also left some of the wispys out so that I did not look too uptight, I am eighteen after all. Make-up wise I wore various rose colors on my eyes from the Naked 3 palette and dark maroon/plum lipstick to match the skirt. Accessory wise I threw on some gold and black triangle studs for just a little something extra.

Tea Time

Just an update, the tea I went to this past Sunday was brilliant! I had such an incredible time. All of my friends and I were dressed in our Sunday best and went to this stunning country home and had tea and little lemon cookies. It really was so incredible, this is how I wish to spend every single Sunday for the rest of my life. AND my friend Taylor (bottom right) is a princess! I will be attending her ball on the 25th and I am wearing a very simple gown. More pictures to come!

What Would Claire Wear: Tea

This Sunday I am going to a tea party! One of my friends is in a Mardi Gras ball and there is a tea in her honor and I am so so excited for it. I will most likely wear this dress (pictured below) I would post a picture of me in it but it is currently at the tailors.

Dress:

• Classy and sassy (the perfect combination), it is also modest enough to be worn to a daytime tea. 

Hair & Make-up:

• I will most likely do a wavy half up half down number of sorts with neutral makeup and maybe a peachy lipstain. 

Shoes & Accessories:

• Shoe wise I will either wear my strappy black stilettos or my super tall nude pumps (classic). I am feeling classic pearls for this event. If it is chilly I will throw on my trench coat which is always a good choice. I may even wear my wide brimmed black hat just for funzies.

New Year's Resolutions

Happy 2014 followers!
I had a wonderful NYE hopefully foreshadowing a wonderful 2014. I totally intend to keep all of my resolutions this time around (note: intend, no promises guaranteed).  This year I have three goals:

• Lose weight (obviously)
• but this year I actually have motivation because I am going to Hangoutfest. Everyone just frolics around in their bikinis all day and I do not want to scar people for life. 

• Become less of bitch
• well less sassy, I am not so much of a bitch but more of a straight up sassy firecracker of sorts.
  

• Be more bold
• I need to start to take the bull by the horns and just go for things. I do not want to have any regrets in life wondering "if only I...". No, no more of that timid nonsense.
